Utah-Taihu Institute of Environmental Research

In August of 2009 UTIER coordinated the visit delegation from Wuxi to the state of Utah. The delegation was led by Wuxi Vice-Mayor Xu Jie. The delegation met with representatives from Utah State University, the University of Utah, Brigham Young University and the Utah Governor's office among other organizations.

Following the visit Mayor Xu said he was impressed by the strong academic research and advanced technologies that he saw. The delegation found many areas for continued collaboration between Wuxi and the State of Utah.
