Internships

UTIER is seeking interns that are highly motivated and interested in learning more about the environmental issues that face China and how technology transfer and international collaboration play an important role in reducing carbon emissions and environmental cleanup. The interns will be based in Wuxi, which is located one hour from Shanghai by train and can expect to travel to Shanghai and possibly other regions in China for site research and business trips. These trips will be paid for by UTIER.
UTIER is seeking interns that are engaged in post-graduate work in one of the following areas and a basic working knowledge of Mandarin Chinese is preferred, but not required:

  • Urban planning (especially ecological planning);
  • Biological Engineering (compost or fermentation), or environmental engineering;
  • Soil quality management;
  • Agricultural economy and agricultural long-term management;
  • Business school (creating a business plan);
  • Water purification and agricultural irrigation water management;
  • Research about low carbon economy and the application of new technologies in agriculture;
  • Research about the application of collected rainwater in agriculture;
  • Geology;
  • Chemistry;
  • Green house gas emissions.
